That’s Gotta Hurt!
Remember guys, gun safety, always! The four rules are not negotiable!
Middle eastern man shoots his sidearm in the air in celebration, drops the mag and gives the sidearm to his young son, who points it in a generally upward direction…at his dad. The kid then pulls the trigger and shoots his dad in the gut.
Just because the magazine is out of the sidearm does not mean there is no cartridge in the chamber!
Idiots with Guns
Okay, get this… This guy in Canada is on trial for murdering his wifes new love interest. Seems he bought a gun thirty years ago and took it with him as an artificial backbone when he went to confront the new boyfriend. He claims he whipped out the gun and it “just went off” and he didn’t realize the gun was working until the guy fell down and died. Perhaps the guy thought he was buying an expensive cap gun? Or perhaps he’s lying…?
Unbelievable…
“The day of the shooting Jojic decided to confront Taliano. But fearing the younger, fitter Taliano’s reaction to an unannounced visit, Jojic decided to take his handgun. He had purchased it 30 years before and hadn’t fired it in decades, he said.
Jojic testified when the two started talking Taliano referred to the “fondness” he had developed for Jojic’s own wife. And that one word set him off.
“It was such a small word, ‘fondness,’ and such a big thing happening, separation and destruction of the family,” testified Jojic. “But he was laughing at me, denying this.”
Jojic demanded to know why Taliano had continued to stay at his family home and was told “I wasn’t afraid of you.”
So Jojic said he pulled out the gun and asked, “Are you afraid now?”
“I didn’t pull the trigger, I just heard the gun go off,” Jojic testified.
When Taliano turned to run, Jojic said he felt a moment of elation. “I was actually glad to see him run away, to see him being afraid.”
With Taliano running Jojic said he was convinced the 30-year-old firearm wasn’t working, only making noises until Taliano tripped and fell.
“That’s when I realized he was not moving. That’s when I saw his eyes. That was a nightmare for me,” he testified.
The trial continues.”
Oopsie!
Shades of the DEA agent who shot himself in front of a whole classroom after saying he was the “Only One’ professional enough in that room to use a gun safely. LOL It’s even the same make and model of gun!
Residents challenge chief on shooting / Claim Hansen was pointing gun at class before it fired

RIVERDALE — Witnesses to Police Chief Dave Hansen’s self-inflicted gunshot wound accuse officials of trying to cover up for the chief through the official version of events released to the news media.
Two West Haven residents attending the concealed weapons permit class Hansen taught Saturday told the Standard-Examiner on Monday that Hansen was extremely careless while handling the loaded Glock 40 pistol before the shooting.
They said police responding to the incident ignored the dozen people at the class until hours later, not even asking if anyone else had been hit by a bullet or shrapnel.
“It’s all a bunch of lies, and they’re trying to cover up what really happened,” said Lewis Walker, who attended the class with his wife and friends.
“The chief’s brother (state Rep. Neil Hansen, D-Ogden) was just on TV saying the chief was showing us how to clear a weapon when the gun went off, but that’s bull.
“The chief said he was going to show us the rifling in the barrel of the gun, and he was pointing it around at all of us in the class. He was trying to disassemble the gun under the table when it went off.
“Nobody thought anything about the gun being loaded. We were told the gun is the chief’s personal sidearm, but it looked to me like he didn’t know anything about the gun.
“When the gun went off, we thought it must have been a blank he was using to impress us, but then he hollered, ‘I’m hit,’ and he fell over and told us to call 911.”
…
Walker’s neighbor, Bart Ulm, said he was in the rest-room when the gun discharged, but Hansen’s actions before then had made him very nervous, including when Hansen said the Glock sidearms are used by police and military personnel because they don’t have a safety mechanism to keep the gun from being fired accidentally.
“He said he was going to show us the rifling in the barrel, but then he pulled out a full magazine and a round from the chamber,” Ulm said. “Right then, I was very leery, because there’s no need to have live ammo in a gun in the class, but I figured he’s the chief, so he must know what he’s doing.
…
“One of the first things the chief told us in the class was that you treat every weapon as though it’s loaded,” Ulm said. “When he was waving that pistol around, we didn’t know it was loaded, but he could have hit someone in that class.
“I don’t care how long someone has been a cop, or how long they’ve been handling weapons. As a weapon handler, you need to use caution.”
Glocks are used by the police and military because they can be fired accidentally? That’s reassuring. I love how he told them to treat every weapon as though it’s loaded, and then started waving it around the room. My guess is even though he pulled the loaded magazine from the sidearm, there was a round in the chamber, resulting in the gun discharging when the trigger was pulled. Someone will correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t you have to pull the trigger on a Glock to take them apart?

As much as I am loathe to critisize a fellow gun owner, this guy isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. He comes home and discovers evidence of a burglary in progress, and what does he do? He charges in, gets whacked in the head and shot in the arm with his own gun.
In my opinion, unless you have a very good reason to, like a loved one trapped inside the house, call the cops and let them take care of it. They get paid for it.
Morley decided to go inside the house, located near 6000 West Eaton Way, and retrieve his handgun to fend off the intruder. Moments later, the two men started wrestling for control and Morley was eventually shot in the arm.
“We both fought over the gun and he hit me in the head,” Morley said. “My hands were just completely covered in blood.”
…
“I knew something was going on. I catch shoplifters for a living, so there’s a lot of people that would probably like to know a lot about me,” Morley said. “So I always carry my gun with me… constantly, it’s right by me.”
Funny, for someone who always carries a gun with him, he had to go into his house to retrieve it. I wonder how many shoplifters this guy actually catches.
*sigh*
