You wish to take our guns
Very well, you may wish away
But would you really dare
To do the taking yourself?

Whom would you send in your place
To do the perilous deed
Some cop who has wife and kids
Or soldiers with tanks in the lead?

Would you slaughter your countrymen
To fight the menace of guns
That stand inertly in safes
Threatening no one

Would you risk your life for the cause
Or put other people at risk
You, the noble crusader
For safety, quiet and peace
