According to Robert Heinlein's Lazarus Long, a human being should be able to do certain things. Just out of curiousity, I'd like to find out which of these things my readers can do. Can you...

Ah, the rancid smell of PSH in the morning. Glenn Beck says on national television that he went armed to go see a movie. PSH breaks out at the Huffington Post.
One thing I find mind blowingly hilarious is Michael Bloomberg’s assertion (from behind heavily armed guards) that if the amendment had passed, criminals would get CCW permits and be able to walk the streets of our nation with guns and go to movies armed, and the police could do nothing to stop them. WTF? He doesn’t think criminals carry guns on the streets and at movies now? Also, he seems to be forgetting that in order to get a CCW, most states require at minimum a background check and mental health check, in addition to being fingerprinted.
“Glenn Beck’s Startling Boast: “I Went To The Movie This Weekend With A Gun. And Surprise, Surprise, I Didn’t Kill Anybody!”
(Oh the humanity! -ed)
During an interview with South Dakota Senator John Thune (R) about the Senate’s defeat of his bill allowing people to carry concealed weapons across state borders, Glenn Beck made a startling and discomforting boast about his own experience carrying a concealed weapon, for which he as a permit.
Referencing NYC Mayor Bloomberg’s warning that Thune’s law would allow people to just walk into bars, restaurants or movie theaters while packing a pistol, Beck scoffed at any danger: “I went to the movie this weekend with a gun. And surprise, surprise, I didn’t kill anybody!”
We’re sure moviegoers around the nation feel much safer now.”
No double standard here folks.
I do wonder who the handsome fellow in the middle is though, he looks almost presidential!
Que Ed McMahon: “You may already be a Federal Criminal!”
“With all the attention that’s been paid lately to long federal sentences for drug offenders, it’s surprising that a far more troubling phenomenon has barely hit the media’s radar screen. Every year, thousands of upstanding, responsible Americans run afoul of some incomprehensible federal law or regulation and end up serving time in federal prison.
What is especially disturbing is that it could happen to anyone at all — and it has.”

The Question
You wish to take our guns
Very well, you may wish away
But would you really dare
To do the taking yourself?Whom would you send in your place
To do the perilous deed
Some cop who has wife and kids
Or soldiers with tanks in the lead?Would you slaughter your countrymen
To fight the menace of guns
That stand inertly in safes
Threatening no oneWould you risk your life for the cause
Or put other people at risk
You, the noble crusader
For safety, quiet and peace
I’ve been listening to this CD now for the last few days and I’m glad I got it. I highly recommend it to everyone as well. Keep in mind it is Folk/Filk music, so if that’s not your thing…
As might be guessed by the title of the CD, this album is very pro 2nd Amendment.
If you get it, pay close attention to the lyrics as there is a definite message there.
As for music, I’d have to say “Poor Man’s Weapon” is the most listenable and accessible, while “Flight 93″ makes me very sad every time I listen to it.
Last but not least, Oleg Volk did the photography and layout for the cover art, which is exceptional.
Track Listing
I just got one of these and I have to say I really like it. It’s small and light enough that you can take it with you almost anywhere, but still powerful enough to do most anything.
Recommended upgrades are a wireless mouse and bumping the RAM up to it’s maximum of 2GB. The built in glide pad works okay, but you’ll be happy with the wireless mouse. Choice is up to you of course, but I’ve got a Microsoft mouse and have no issues with it.
The built in WIFI works flawlessly in my limited experience so far. The built in web cam is a bit dark, even though it says it’s made for low light chat…but this isn’t a deal breaker. Besides, decent web cams are available for around $30.
I give this netbook 8 out of 10 stars as is.
