I’m having a lot of trouble with mine. I can’t erase any of my files. I’ve press the x button but nothing happens. the file is still there.

I have been trying to open my recorder on my computer. I can hear the audio, but it doesn’t let me save the files on my computer, what am I doing wrong?

John, I’d rec you contact RCA customer service. Chris, assuming you have them in correctly and they’re good, it would appear you have something wrong with your unit. If it’s new, exchange it.

I have put fresh batteries into my player ten different times now and it won’t power on. Any help?

I installed the Digital Voice Manager and it shows up on the computer screen as described in the manual. The problem is all of the control buttons are greyed out and unavailable. When I try to drag a song file into the recorder icon, as soon as the pointer hits anywhere below the bar at the top, the pointer changes to a circle with a slant line through it (in other words, a can’t-do-symbol). Please help.

I just got the RCA VR5220 today and don’t know much about it yet. I want to use it with a program called American Idol Singer’s Advantage to record my vocals, which are then used to critique and improve my singing. Anyone else using this recorder for singing?

I have lots of great stuff on my VR5220 that i’d like to get off, howeva I hv Windows Vista, and nothing happens when I plug it into the USB. (it says PCLINK) on the device, but I can’t find the DVM application. the links to the rcaaudiovideo.com do not work. Please help!!!

I have to tell you that you really helped me out tonight. Thank you for posting these tips on using the digital recorder. With your help I was able to find the software to install, find audacity and the mp3 conversion. Thank so much!
