Take care of yourself and wish you speedy recovery.
Hi Yuri,
Hope you and yours are doing ok, just received the following news item. I noticed Jeffersoian has not posted since the 30th, is he ok?
A severe storm smacked the region Monday with hurricane-force winds and several inches of rain, and was blamed for four deaths. It came only a day after another severe system moved through Sunday.
By Tuesday, the second system had moved on to the Upper Midwest, where it was predicted to drop just a few inches of snow. In its path, it left chaos: Roads were closed in Washington and Oregon because of downed trees, and many schools and government offices were closed for a second day.

I’m seeing a doctor this afternoon to see what can be done about the remaining infection in my right leg. I’m still in a lot of pain and not well at all. I appreciate your concern, thanks!
Jeffersonian is posting in the December section of his blog now, and I heard from him a day or two ago so I’m sure he’s alright.
Luckily the majority of the bad weather seems to have gone around us here, and I’m thankful for that.
Thanks again for your concern, it is appreciated!
I know what you’re going through. At times I get cellulitis attacks in my left leg that sends me to the emergency room. I had one last summer that hit me so hard I had to ride the ambulance, because I couldn’t stand up. It drops my blood pressure to about 70/50, and hits with a 105 degree fever until I can get enough antibiotics pumped into me over a weeks time. Good luck with that.
Thanks Bob, that’s it exactly. The doctor keeps me stocked with antibiotics and pain medicine it such an eventuality, and most of the time I can catch it in time and it goes away after a few days. This time it hit me hard. Today’s the first day I haven’t had the fevers, but the infection is still in my leg. It’s swelled up and red and hella sensitive. At today’s visit he and I decided to keep taking the antibiotics and give it more time. I’ve made an appointment to see him in another two days too. If something comes up between now and then, I could still end up in the hospital again.
Thanks you guys, wish me luck!
I was going to ask how you’re doing, but the above posts cleared that up for me.
Are you taking blood thinners to encourage circulation? And, are you involved in any sort of exercise/therapy to strengthen you up generally?
Sorry I missed you Peter.
I take blood thinners everyday to keep my phlebitis under control. With my legs as screwed up as they are, it’s impossible to do any kind of lower body exercise, which makes it very difficult all around.
I’m continuing to get better slowly, so (hopefully) I’ll be back up to, normal for me, pretty soon.
